Mac Miller passed away Sept. 7, 2018 after an overdose in his Studio City home.

Now fans, other artists and social media users have expressed their opinions surrounding Miller’s death and many have pointed the finger to Ariana Grande.

Mac and Ariana’s relationship started on Twitter in 2012, and it shortly developed into a hit from the two “My Way.” In July 2013 it developed further, and in August 2016 it became public.

“She’s like the greatest person in the world,” Miller said in 2016. “She’s like an angel, she’s very nice, and she’s a sweet girl.”

But their relationship spiraled in May this year, according to TMZ, who said they remained friends after the breakup.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Miller says he and Grande actually had a normal relationship, and that he was “in love” with her.

“We were together for two years. We worked through good times, bad times, stress, and everything else,” Miller said to ET. “And then it came to an end and we both moved on. And it’s that simple, you know.”

Many people are now connecting the death of Miller to his break up with Ariana.

“Mac Miller totaling his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude after he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood,” Elijah Flint said on Twitter.

After Miller’s death, Grande took to Instagram with a photo of Mac Miller looking up at the camera from his knees. The post had no caption and comments were disabled.

Before Miller died he actually spoke out about addiction.

“I get f—ed up, let’s keep it real,” Miller said to People Magazine. “I get super f—ed up, still, all the time. That will never stop. But I’m in control of my life. I’m not f—ed up right now. I’m chillin.”
