The Beatles started a revolution, in the 1960’s, that rocked the world and changed music forever. Can I compare Imagine Dragons to The Beatles? No. I can say, however, that Imagine Dragons is on its way to becoming a world-renowned band.
The indie rock band fromLas Vegas released two EP’s in 2008 under the label of Interscope Records and has been working under Interscope since. In the summer of 2012, Imagine Dragons released its first major album, titled “Night Visions.”
Producer Alex da Kid (known for working with big names like Eminem, Rihanna and Christina Aguilera) took an interest into the band when he heard them play at a local venue. He signed them as his first addition to the new branch of Interscope Records.
This album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 in the United States, selling more than 83,000 copies within its first week on the shelves.
Since then, the band has completed two tours; one of Europe, visiting a number of countries, and another ofCanada and theUS. The band sold out at every venue except two.
“Night Visions” features songs such as “Radioactive,” “It’s Time,” “Underdog” and “On Top of the World.” These songs have been featured in a number of commercials and previews.
“It’s Time” reached the Top Five on the Billboard Alternative and Billboard Rock and holds the record for the longest run on the 2012 Alternative Top 10 charts with over 27 weeks.
Although these songs have been the focus of attention, the rest of the album is exceptional as well. Other songs include “Tiptoe,” “Demons” and “Bleeding Out.”
Imagine Dragons has come out of the desert like bands The Killers and Panic! At The Disco and managing to climb their way to the top of the charts and earn a positive reputation at the start of their career.
