The Edwardsville Girls Golf team made their way to regionals Tuesday Oct. 8. After a long year of hard work, the girls were ready to take regionals on by storm.
“I’m pretty excited about it. I wasn’t really too nervous because I know our team had a really good chance of going to sectionals,” senior Ashlea Hearn said.
The girls have no down time it seems as they had just placed second in the quadrangular they had participated in on Sept. 19.
In the quadrangular, the Tigers came out fifteen strokes behind Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin. The girls did beat Triad and Alton Marquette 13-5.
Sophomore Kiley Reeder was sure the girls were going to do great and had a good amount of confidence. “I think we deserved it and knew we were going to kick butt,” Reeder said.
After a long day of playing the girls are moving on.
“We got third place with a team score of 358.” Hearn said.
The EHS Girls Golf team will be advancing to sectionals which will be held Monday Oct. 14.
