National Honor Society will be hosting its first Chillin’ With Children event this weekend in order to raise money for the Feed My Starving Children Organization.
This organization strives to collect donations for malnourished children all over the world according to the head of the committee, senior Mark Kaman.
This Saturday, March 15, from 11:00am to 2pm, you can buy tickets to dunk an NHS member in freezing cold water behind the commons. While this is going on outside, there will be a chili cook-off inside.
“People should go to eat chili and watch their friends get dunked, and hopefully get to actually do the dunking. Also, of course, help feed starving children,” said member of the committee, senior Robbie Clark.
Also, there will be a 50/50 raffle and hot chocolate available to anyone that comes.
So before Saturday night’s basketball game, or whatever plans that you may have, you should take some time to help feed the starving children of the world, and have some fun while you are at it.
